Lydde Gård, a Manor house with hotel standard with sustainability at its core. Located in the heart of Tygriket, in the beautiful Häggådalen, between Borås and Varberg. Here, you step into a familial and homely accommodation that has received several awards for building conservation and environmental efforts.
The earliest record of Lydde dates back to 1493, then known as Lyddaström. Its activities have varied over time, from agriculture to fabric producing, dyeing, brickmaking, and a 20th-century blouse and shirt sewing factory. When the Larson family took over in 2003, a careful total renovation began, where building conservation, respect for the house’s history, and sustainability were guiding principles. Today, we encounter a comfortable and personalized accommodation that speaks to lydde Gårds history.
Lydde Gård has 35 beds distributed among the four residential buildings. The rooms are spacious, fitting for a fabric producer’s estate, and here you sleep in locally produced beds with pillows and duvets made of organic wool. Breakfast is included in the accommodation, where homemade bread, honey from our own beehives, and everything else is served with organic and fair trade labels as a general rule.
In addition to accommodation in the charming rooms of the Manor house, there is the possibility to rent our 18th-century cottage Kronogården or our cozy annex Solsidan. Everything is located close to each other, and bedding, cleaning, and breakfast are included in both the cottage and annex.
Lydde Gård is peacefully situated surrounded by a large garden with fruit trees and flower beds. Here, there is proximity to lakes, nature, museums, and just around the corner is the Marks golf course. The area offers rich nature experiences with opportunities for hiking, cycling adventures, as well as a rich cultural offering in terms of crafts and history.
