Glashuset
In Limmared you will find Sweden’s oldest glassworks, Glasets Hus, which still produces glass today, including the famous Absolut bottle. It’s a piece of Swedish culture in itself.

Rydal museum
At Rydals museum, you’re thrown back in time. The spinning machines in the machine hall remain, row after row, since the 1940s. Here you can delve into the factory’s history, enjoy art exhibitions, try on clothes from the past, and learn more about our textile history.

Textilmuseet
The Textile Museum in Borås is one of the leading museums in the Nordic region for textiles and fashion, with collections of clothing, fabrics, textile machinery, and more.
The core exhibition ‘Textile Power’ tells the story of textile production, while temporary exhibitions vary from fashion, design, art & crafts to technology, research, sustainability, and smart textiles.
At the museum, you can also find the oldest sample book with fabrics from the home weavers who worked at Lydde Gård.

Kasthall´s Carpet Factory
In Kinna lies Sweden’s first industrial carpet factory, founded in 1889 by industrialist Ludvig Anderson. Kasthall’s carpet factory manufactures woven and hand-tufted carpets with a solid reputation for quality worldwide. Each carpet is unique, and customers are often large architectural firms with public interior design projects. In the factory shop, you can find quality bargains.

Ekelunds Linneväveri
In Horred lies Sweden’s oldest linen weaving mill, Ekelunds Linneväveri. It was founded in 1540 and has been operated for 17 generations. Today, there are corporate exhibitions, a restaurant, and a large factory outlet.
If you’re curious about how their products are made, you can get a free tour of their weaving mill. You can also find the local heritage museum showcasing their own exhibition.
